Avin graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in 2006 with a degree in Bachelor of Osteopathic Medicine and diplomas in Osteopathy and Naturopathy.
He is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, a member of the British Osteopathic Association and the Osteopathic Sports Care Association and British Medical Acupuncture Society.
Prior to studying osteopathy he was a professional rugby player.
Avin has a particular interest in sports medicine, sport injuries and sports rehabilitation. He has currently been working with top sporting internationals in the field of rugby, football, cricket, golf and motor sports.
Avin’s ambition on completing his training as an osteopath was to work within a sporting environment, however whilst training at BCOM he realised that Osteopathic medicine can benefit not only sports professionals, but also the amateurs amongst us, as well as a variety of non-sport minded people.
Within the course at BCOM numerous special clinics were run. Avin participated in these clinics, which consisted of paediatric (children’s) maternity, geriatric (elderly) and sports injuries. In his 5th year he wrote a research paper as well as studying three special study modules in the fields of:
1. Osteopathic Sports medicine
2. Advanced Nutrition
3. Cranial Osteopathy
Avin strongly believes that continued professional development is a key factor in maintaining the high standards he aspires to. He recently attended a post-graduate training course with the British Medical Acupuncture Society and is currently working towards a Diploma of Medical Acupuncture.
Avin has a very simple and traditional approach whilst treating “Find it, Fix it, Leave it”. Prevention of problems whilst addressing existing complaints is the key to his treatment plan.
In addition to working for Physical Balance he also practices at Proctor and Gamble as their on-site osteopath and sees fellow sportsmen in his London clinic.
Outside his profession he is a keen rugby coach forming his own academy of aspiring children hoping to become professional rugby players. Currently the academy boasts 3 players with representative honours.

One thing that I found to be common among all people was a desire to be heard, and have their problem taken seriously. Medical Acupuncture
James has also trained in western acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society and may (unless needle phobic!) use this to complement the osteopathy or as a stand alone treatment. As a rule he uses this musculoskeletally (ie for muscle, joint, ligament and bone pain) and also for headaches (migraine also) and jaw dysfunction.
Podiatrists are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders and problems arising from poor functional alignment of the lower limbs. They undergo 3 years medical training leading to an honours degree.
A Podiatrist’s scope of practice includes removal of corns, calluses and verrucae; treatment of foot infections; minor surgery including ingrown toenail correction. In addition, Podiatrists treat disorders of alignment of the lower limb and symptoms arising from these such as painful feet, ankles, knees, lower back, which can be sports or non-sports related.
Hypnotherapy and psychotherapy can help people deal with a wide range of personal issues including among others: quitting smoking, losing weight, dealing with stress, eating problems, phobias and concerns about a relationship.

Mark graduated from the London School of Osteopathy with a BSc (Hons) in osteopathy. He is a member of the British Osteopathic Association and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
Mark is experienced in treating a wide range of patients, from office workers with postural strains to older people with nagging joint pain and has a particular interest in posture and helping patients to recognise and address this factor in the pursuit of long-term health.

I own and run 2 osteopathic and sports injuries clinics in Middlesex.
Since graduation I have worked extensively with athletes both full time and part time, at national and international level, at both senior and age groups. At present I am consultant osteopath to London Wasps RFC and London Divisional Rugby (U/18) for the Rugby Football Union. I have attended in excess of 300 matches pitch-side.

England RFU, England Select 7’s, London Broncos RLFC, UK Athletics and The British Triathlon Association.
I have attended a Commonwealth Games as part of the core medical team.
