Initial Consultation

What to Expect

Upon your first visit to our clinic we will explain to you how we work and what you can expect from our treatments. With your permission we will then take your personal details and a history of your present condition. Following this we will ask you about your past medical history and any other relevant information.Postural imbalances in the lower limb may affect your back, shoulders or your neck
On completion of this you will be required to undress down to your underwear so that we can begin your examination - please wear suitable undergarments.

Following your examination we will explain to you what we think the problem is and how we intend to treat it. With your permission we will carry out treatment and devise a rehabilitation programme and, or, a treatment regime.

Due to the complexity of this first session it may take up to 60 minutes to complete. The cost of the initial consultation is £60:00 payable by cash or cheque. Further treatments (soft tissue, stretch, remedial exercise etc.) are charged at £40:00 per session (approx 30 mins).
Often when symptoms are diminishing it is not necessary to treat for 30 minutes, so a shorter treatment may be called for. These treatments last for approx 15 minutes and the fee is £25:00.

We have an holistic view of you the patient: We take into account your past medical history, lifestyle, physical goals as well as clinically assessing you from foot to head (often imbalances in the lower limb may affect your back, shoulders or your neck).

We explain what is going on in the body, and answer any questions that you may have.

After the consultation we will develop a plan of action together, in order to address any imbalances or injuries that you may have.

In the appropriate circumstances, we may refer you to our inhouse physiotherapist or sports masseur in order to elicit the appropriate diagnosis or treatment. If you require further examination or referral to specialists within the NHS or private we can advise you on this.

All our Practitioners and Associates adhere to the philosophy of continuing professional development, keeping up with new methods and critically analysing and incorporating them into their treatments.

In accordance with standard practice, we regret that a charge will be levied for missed appointments or non-attendance unless at least 24 hours notice is given.

If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our services please get in touch.
